When we were living in Chicago, Christopher spent A LOT of time at work. He was putting in 80 hours a week, and we were working schedules for about a year. I spent a lot of evenings alone, which got old really fast. One of the best things about being in Antigua now is that while he still works 6 days a week, it’s only for about 8-10 hours a day, and we have pretty much the same schedule, which means we get to have dinner together every night. It seems like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference to have that time.
Last night, we both finished work a bit early and decided to drive up to Cerro San Cristobal. It’s just a 10 minute drive from Antigua, and is basically straight up the side of a mountain. At the top, you’ll find a farm to table restaurant with the best views in Antigua.
It’s the perfect spot to watch the sunsets, especially at this time of year since the sky is pretty clear.
We ordered some Nachos to share (always on the search for the perfect Nachos), a Michelada for him, Abita Golden Ale for me.
Maya joined us and insisted on feeling the breeze in her face the whole way back down the mountain 🙂
My last day at work is Thursday, so I’ve been busy wrapping everything up at the hotel. I’m looking forward to a fun wedding this weekend, and starting my Spanish classes again next Monday!
